Moe and the US celebrate freedom

*The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports:

DEVORE - Moe, the missing chimp, remains at-large today.
Searchers investigated reports that Moe may have been spotted at nearby Deer Park Nudist Resort, though a manager there said she had heard nothing from residents or guests about a chimpanzee sighting.

I find myself unable to even type the myriad of jokes surrounding this one.

* Today while doing my walk at the local track, I found myself able to actually jog the straight-aways for the first time. It's been almost a month now of the exercise and the WW thing, and though the weight loss has been slow, I can tell I'm in much better shape already. I hope soon to move up to jogging a few laps or every other lap, and eventually getting ready to jog at least part of the annual 5K in our local area.

* By the rockets red glare: tonight we hit the fireworks stand for the annual illegal fireworks event in our backyard. Woo-hoo! We got some morning glories, some colored fountains, and my favorite, the 'purple rain' with its advertised 'dazzling display of purple and silver showering sparks'- like a Prince concert of the 80's! I love the fourth. :)
